I've very glad it was not the same place though on the driver side as that is where the brake and fuel lines run. If I referb or build another Westi I'd not route them as guided they would be all down the tunnel sides.

Thankfully, the XI is meant to have the brake line run in the tunnel, on top of the lower chassis rail. The fuel line goes straight from the tank, which is alongside my right knee, to the engine bay.
