The rear wheels are off the back from what I can see, so the car is actually at an incline and the handbrake won't help. What's to stop it sliding backwards? Matt_S
@Flying Carrot Steve The model is a Platinum lift MSL3, all the scissor lift seem to be the same size just branded differently. Yes, the wheels are off at the back but there is a piece of timber along the underside picking it up off the edge along the lowered floors, it’s as steady as a rock up there, the engine acts as a counter weight.

cjwood23
My daughter has gotten in to Down Hill Mountain Bike Racing recently so decided I needed to build her a race bike..... The bike was built from good second hand bargains and bits I had in the spares box - only new parts were tyres, grips, saddle and bearings. All in for just short of £800 - a lot cheaper than a new one at around £3k!! Took it on holiday to Scotland to test it out. Where better than a full blown World Cup track - Nevis Range, Fort William. She has her first race tomorrow at the local Down Hill trails.
eggontoast
That is mega @cjwood23. Long while since I bothered the Nevis Range and don't even have a DH bike any more. Hope to take my daughters there one day.

I'm about an hour away from Glentress an used to visit there weekly, I'm still down often, but now driving past the the excellent roads in that area. Good luck with the bike 👍

I'm very glad to see she's wearing a good helmet, it's a dangerous sport but an amazing buzz I bet!
Craigieboy
As the topic says 'share what you've just done' Just ran out of fuel. Apparently this is my tank empty! Went a 5ml road test to test the new fan, got back to garage and almost immediately it began to run rough and misfire. Someone up there must be looking out for me, possibly my dear mum. Stuart
That's pretty accurate for a Westfield. I always know mine is low when it starts to fluctuate on cornering

Captain Colonial
TADTS - They all do that, sir! Fuel gauge is there simply for amusement purposes. Always use and reset the trip odometer after refuelling. I don’t let mine go past 110 miles before refuelling. 1
Captain Colonial
Standard fuel gauge readings: Full = full Full with a twitching needle = 3/4 full 3/4 full = just over 1/2 full 1/2 full = 1/3 full 1/3 full with twitching needle = 1/4 full 1/4 full = look for fuel 1/4 full with a twitching needle = look for fuel NOW Under 1/4 full = what are you playing at?!? Avoid roundabouts and right turns to prevent fuel starvation 1/8 full = you’re out of fuel and have time to post in the “Sharing what you’ve just done. Not questions. No comments required.” thread
