Westy being kept company at the moment by a lovely Sagaris that's in for an engine capacity increase from 4 litre to 4.5 litre (already has in-house ported head and uprated cams and carbon airbox)  .  Two Great British sports cars, love them both.

A nice Sagaris. They fetch silly money these days. Interesting plate too.

Yes 80k is commonplace price wise.  They are the last of the truly bonkers TVRs though, of the "Peter Wheeler" era before the Russian took over, and the next bloke who's built only one prototype.  RIP TVR.

I went to view a 450 Chimaera on Wednesday at Lowe Classics near Abergavenny. They have some very nice cars for sale, nearly all on sale or return.

They don't seem to mind people popping in for a nose but if you want a drive you need to book. They also I think sometimes do a kinda cars and coffee type thing on weekends now and then.

Next door is a large workshop who do all their maintenance on the cars, they are young guys who really seem to know their stuff as they have worked on so many classics and exotica.

They have also had quite a few kits through here over the years. If you're local and are looking for someone to work on your Westfield or classic, they'd be well worth talking to.

Here are some of the cars they had for sale, some very valuable stuff there!

Just 3D printed a skull bowl for Halloween sweets, and a scary spider to keep the small person entertained during half term 🕷️🎃💀😊

Always using a vacuum when I'm cutting/sanding/grinding, and if its a big job making a tent around the job to contain the dust. Cover anything that you dont want to make dusty, and always have a bucket of water and wet rag handy to wipe down as you go along. The vac only removes larger particles of dust, multiple passes with the wet rag is always required if you really want to remove the dust.

It's very difficult to keep completely clean!

I have machined up some new peddle bushes and set screws as I noticed they had a bit of sloppy movement, side to side. Now the clearance is 0.2 mm so hopefully all play now eliminated. Also sourced a lovely carbon gearknob form the WSCC and have made an aluminium bush to fit. Type 9 gearbox shaft measured 12.3mm OD for reference.IMG_20251105_225004.thumb.jpg.265a8e2954c88fd183a6e804527d41f2.jpgIMG_20251106_131333.thumb.jpg.a278abbfe3559dafe674035bd554402a.jpgIMG_20251106_131347.thumb.jpg.4e2d6eb039bd6e2d4d486860412618ef.jpg

Good work!

Have you done all 3 pedals? I bushed the clevis pin hole in my clutch pedal as it had gone oval. (circa 35,000 miles use/abuse)

I'm sure you're aware you can't get a bolt in the clutch pivot and you have to use a nut on either side of a bar with a thread at either end. Hence you need to remove the brake pedal to remove this stud.

I'd love to fit roller bearings in the pedals,

Not done the clutch as it was play free, only done 8000 miles. I would just make a set screw if required rather than a stud.
