Ok, thanks for the education, much appreciated. 

 

I don't have a water rail on my blacktop then, but then I don't think it's fittable to mine as I have a turbo in the way?

 

I don't have the plastic thermostat housing either, I've got an aluminium upgraded part.

Yes, pretty much identical block to my ST170 👍

Is the rail as easy fit?

where does the coolant temp probe fit?

interested in the housing if i can get the go ahead from Mrs A.

I didn’t fit mine but I have removed it which seemed pretty easy. I’m sure others will come along who have fitted one and confirm either way. Either way I’ve attached Raceline’s instructions for you.

 

It might be worth taking a look at BLiNK Motorsports instructions too (attached) and decide whether you want to run a header tank or expansion tank should you decide to fit a water rail.

The coolant temperature sensor fits on the back of the head in the rail. The rail comes with a couple of 1/8” NPT tapped holes for this purpose.
