And your price list 😂 Making it myself, squared up the bonnet as best as possible to make it a bit straighter and made the gaps more uniform, so hopefully the carbon one will fit loads better! Should lose a couple KG's as well!! Just have to decide on what weave orientation I want to have next, and make the plugs for the vents. Might make myself a couple bonnets for fun, but have no intention currently on producing many. Might put the mould up for sale after I have had my fun though! 3 Quote

Jaime Ward Posted October 6 Posted October 6 Engine and gearbox out! Was planning on leaving the engine in, but needed a few mm extra to for the gearbox to clear the clutch plate. In the end I pulled it all out. Not the easiest on your own with a trolley jack but got there in the end! Committed now to a full chassis refresh, fix some rust, have a few extra bars welded in, etc etc etcccccccc.... And get rid of the rats nest thats the wiring loom. The list continues to grow!! 5 Quote

Flying Carrot Steve Posted Saturday at 09:32 Posted Saturday at 09:32 I've seen the term 'water rail' quite a lot on here recently, I've no idea what that is though or what it does, why it's better etc. Anyone like to explain in simple terms please? Quote
Kit Car Electronics and Essex AO Posted Saturday at 10:19 Posted Saturday at 10:19 It neatens up the top hose plumbing bringing it to the front of the engine, and replaces the original plastic thermostat housing which can become brittle with age and crack. Looks pretty, too! 1 1 Quote

The water rail modification on the zetec, essentially removes the long "hockey stick" 90 degree hose from the thermostat housing on back of the engine (in rear wheel drive applications) to the radiator in the nose. The Zetec plastic thermostat housing is a bit fragile (becomes brittle with repeated heat cycles) and replacements are hard to find so its a common modification. Here's a water rail from Burtons 1 Quote
