Ouch. My cycle wings have their own bolts as do my callipers. I'm on Westfield Alloy uprights. I assume you're not. Some pics of the assembly would be good. Perhaps move to Tech. If you've goofed the thread on the bolt, what's the thread in the upright like? You may need to helicoil it to recover it properly. Quote

I swapped the bolts over and the other one went in and tightened with no problems. I’ll post up a picture when I’m home on Friday. Mine are Cortina uprights I believe, and the bolt should be an M12 32 as far as I can find. Westfield list them but not sure if it makes sense to source elsewhere. Quote

Popular Post Captain Colonial Posted September 19 Popular Post Posted September 19 No photos, but is there any better feeling than getting the Westfield out on a warm, sunny day, wringing its neck on empty country roads and making a glorious noise, then stopping at a beautiful country pub for a breather and your favourite pint? 😎 No details, but after a very challenging 12 months healthwise at home and £40k spent on unexpected necessities since July, I really needed that bit of joy, release from reality and reaffirmation. Personal batteries recharged. 12 1 Quote
