Yes, was considering R888R too , but decided for A052. BTW - when You fit those tyres when new did they squek quite loud on slow parking turns ? In semi-sclick area I had onece Nankang NS2r (softer one 120 not 180 TW as current Ns2r are) ) and dont remember soo much squek (bu, it was "normal"  not open car as Westfield :)

Meantime Ive just hunted around set of nice looking 13 4x108 5,5J (yes)  rims with seems to be properET , just need to pait it black

cheap, so hope in the future will try again 13 but this time with narrower and std not semislick tyres (sht like 165-175 front 175-185 rear maybe ?)  . Should be more unsprung weight  reduction and less rolling resistance.

Under skin I feel this car need narrower than mine current 195-205 tyres. Those look good , but for some reason production cars with much more weight has narrower tyres. Well,   Caterham 170 (less power but propably more torque amd similar weight  wears narrow 13 tyres.

No squeak at all from my new front R888R.

Those A 052 semed to be really sticky, got small stones glued to tyres and throwed up like stone rain almost like on warm/hot slicks, and never on road regular tyres. Hm.

Much of my workshop testing is done on the basis that it's not stupid if it works .. so may i present zetec induction length testing version 1.0

I will collate the results and put them in my westy repair and development thread. In the meantime have a giggle.20250416_112130.thumb.jpg.a2fb1f54c67b3b1c4739e9b408112f85.jpg

Winter/spring engine rebuild......

Core plugs and oil bungs removed and acid dipped.

Block bored to 87mm

Block face skimmed.

Head washed and skimmed.

Late crank replaced with a spare early crank I had kicking about.

Wossner steel rods and Omega intruder pistons fitted.

ACL race bearings.

New oil pump with uprated internal gear.

QED 450V cams, race springs and steel caps fitted along with solid lifters.

Vernier pulleys.

Other things that I can't quite remember no doubt!!!

All up and running with no coolant or oil leaks.

But do want to recheck the shims for the lifters.

All machine work done by Grace Engine Developments which luckily are 5 mins drive away!
