LED high level brakelight. Difficult to get level when nothing else is though. IMG_20250401_205258.thumb.jpg.bb0615b26b5bc78f06a4b4b3bbfb4441.jpgIMG_20250401_211355.thumb.jpg.33a4d194fce8a74a394ea4ee98c162e0.jpg

I'd like one on the back of my full cage. Don't really want to drill it for cables though

Same, that's why I went this way (I also have a half hood that wouldn't work easily with a cage mount).

Me neither, I used 3m VHB tape, it's solid and has stood up the the fitting of my half hood no problem.

I feel safer having a high level light.

Did you just run the wires along the rollbar and maybe tape them down?

Yes, exactly.

I got some thinner than normal duct tape and it's been perfect, no issues.

Thanks @Craigieboy sounds like a good idea to me. Another small job added to the list. I'm no electrician though! Did you earth it then just splice the other wire into one of the brake wires?

No, I ran both wires down to the rear clusters, to ensure a good earth.

I got a Hella light, a smoked grey one and the cable it came with was nice and neat. Opening it up wouldn't have made much sense or made it any neater.

Fitted to test the look and ride 13" wheels (185/60/13 front and 205/60/13 rear, brand new Yokohama A052, instead of current 15" (195/50 and 205/20) .

Both on Team dynamics.

Smaller ones have for my oither kitcar project, but having possibility to try - why not?

As for the look in reality I rather more like look on 15, now looking at  pictures front 15 looks soo huge ! :) I think its effect of too wide lens and some distotion.. But yes, on 13 car looks like a lighter one .

As for the ride hm was expecting more noticeable difference (both sets with pressure approx 1,1-1,2 bar)

But on the other hand its only 10mm narrower (front) , rear the same width. Had no proper possibility to test acceleration , which should be theoretically better as front one wheel in this diameter is 2,5kg lighter (13 185/60) comparing to 15 (195/50), rears less difference approx 1kg. On test I had chance to do, in fact seems to be more lively, but mayby it is self-suggestion .

As for steering hoped for more lively front, but maybe because those A052 are good sticky semislcks - not really.

Difference, quite significant,  was on uneven patchy with holes road - more comfort on 16 as there is more ballon , or (and?) less unsprung weight effect.

Anyway, maybe some day will try 175 front and sth like 195 rear (my road car has approx 130hp so ) on normal road tyres, bu so far I leave it on 15 . 13 goes back to MNR, and stil tyres on 15 are not much used and only 2/3 yrs old   , so still have to earn their keep

Personally I love my 13s on R888Rs and will never change them.

Thought I'd tidy up the pond.

Think that the water lily might have outgrown the planter.

Yes, was considering R888R too , but decided for A052. BTW - when You fit those tyres when new did they squek quite loud on slow parking turns ? In semi-sclick area I had onece Nankang NS2r (softer one 120 not 180 TW as current Ns2r are) ) and dont remember soo much squek (bu, it was "normal"  not open car as Westfield :)

Meantime Ive just hunted around set of nice looking 13 4x108 5,5J (yes)  rims with seems to be properET , just need to pait it black

cheap, so hope in the future will try again 13 but this time with narrower and std not semislick tyres (sht like 165-175 front 175-185 rear maybe ?)  . Should be more unsprung weight  reduction and less rolling resistance.

Under skin I feel this car need narrower than mine current 195-205 tyres. Those look good , but for some reason production cars with much more weight has narrower tyres. Well,   Caterham 170 (less power but propably more torque amd similar weight  wears narrow 13 tyres.
