Looks great , I need to do mine , did you just use a finishing pad on DA ?

No I just used a Scholl concepts purple pad. Removed all the swirls no problem and finished off with a turtle wax spray wax, I'm really happy with the results.

It's not perfect and tbh I never chase perfection when detailing, too dangerous I just look to make a good improvement.

A mate had the paint on his new GR86 ruined by a detailer chasing perfection, had to get painted.

I should get on and do mine, looks like a good result. And you're right, chasing perfection is dangerous.

I once heard a brain surgeon say 'perfection is the enemy of good' So true.

I’ve just re-fitted our en suite shower room, when I last did it I built in some custom made cupboards with mirrored doors, the silvering was getting a bit the worse for wear, so off came the old and new mirrors fitted.

Thanks to Sean for delivering the Devon and Somerset Area flag to me recently, good to finally have it available for events. It only had a spike with it and a rather large base which you fill with water, so I thought I would make something more compact from bits and bobs I had around the garage, but mainly some aluminium tube from a broken camping chair, some threaded rod and a couple of blocks of wood. (EDIT aswell as the bit from the spike that the flag mounts on). After a couple of false starts, this one works well, just needs a sand down and a coat or two of paint.

This is my version.

Flat plate with a bolt tapped through and a steel bar screwed onto it.

Could do with a tennis ball on top of that, especially if the grass is wet.

The flag goes over it.

Belts swapped. Red to blue and more importantly "pull down" so you don't have to get out to adjust lap belts.

Thanks to @GarethS09 for selling me the belts.

And yes, I did sort the handbrake adjustment out whilst the seats were out..

I don't understand this. My belts are pull down, still can't adjust the lap strap while I'm sat in the car.

@Flying Carrot Steve i think it depends on girth, the rounder you are the more space between buckle and siides for achieving adjustment... being somewhat skinny, i found i had to undo the belt to adjust the lap strap.

With the old belts I was sitting on the adjuster so no hope of alteration unless you got out..
