Curborough - Saturday 3rd December 10am

Rob Hunter - Club Secretary

Recommended Posts

Hi,

The weather looks dry so few of us are heading down to the Curburgring for the Shadow Sport Winter Sprint on Saturday morning (tomorrow).

We are aiming to get there at 10am and will be staying until about 12-1230 (the event continues until 3pm if you want to stay).

Feel free to come along 👍

Blimey it was cold this morning!

Supposedly it was 5 degrees but definitely not that warm in an aeroscreened car with no heater 😂

Despite the cold, we had a great turnout with Tony riding shotgun with Hedley, Iain (with his son Oliver) in the Luego and John landing soon after. Martyn and Sue also came along in the tintop (and a lot warmer then we were!).

Michael (288GTO replica) and Ian (250GTO replica) from the local Burton Car Club also joined us. Hopefully we'll see them again at the upcoming Carsington New Years Day meet.

After a catch up followed by a hot brew and buttie, we were treated to some hilarious track action.... being cold and damp, a number of the cars seemed to spend a huge amount of time either sideways, spinning onto the grass or launching over the infield in the car of one Megane RS 😂. The organisers had brooms out more than once!

Great to see you all and thanks for coming along 👍
