Norfolk & Suffolk resurrection

Hi All,

I very recently joined the Club following the purchase of Westfield and was disappointed to discover there was no AO in my part of the country. As I was the Regional Representative for the UK Corvette Club for a few years I thought I would stick my head above the parapet and offer my services, now with my Westfield hat on. I have of course been in touch with Julie and she is happy for me to try and resurrect the  Norfolk & Suffolk area. We both feel this is best delayed until next Spring but thought it would be a good idea to put this teaser post on the site in the hope that some interest can be raised for future activities. I realise there aren't a huge number of members in the area and, looking at the map, we are spread somewhat far and wide. Anyway, if you are interested in supporting me please post your name and location in order to help me find a possible meeting place to suit the majority.

Best regards,

Barry

Top man Barry.

I am based on the Norfolk/Cambridgeshire border between King's lynn and Wisbech in a small village called Walpole Highway. My car has been on the road for a few weeks after IVA in October, but I'm going to sorn it this afternoon until next spring - I've got a few little jobs to do over the winter when the weather permits. Looking forward to getting out and about and supporting the Norfolkshire division once again though!

Wise, but could if you can get enough perhaps have a Christmas/New Year get together?

Only 2 responses thus far Dave. If I get a few more I will try and arrange a meet- up as you suggest.

I am in St Ives, cambs. And there is nothing here either.

If the planned meet up place is not to far away, I would be up for joining in.

Thanks Mole. Looks like I have 5 or 6 potential members wishing to meet up, so keep an eye on the website for further details. At the moment it looks like Stoke Ferry might be suitable for the majority.

Many thanks for the heads-up Mole. It's not an area I know so very happy to receive your suggestion.

Well, I'm off to a bit of a slow start with just four responses from my part of the world. Hopefully over the next few weeks I'll receive some more interest for an initial get together. Come on guys and girls, make an old man happy!

That is a very nice pub in a very nice setting Martyn. Although it's been a while since I've been in there - I may have to pay a visit beforehand to err, like, maybe err, make sure it's OK, or something... 😁

Hi Gary, well that's two thumbs up for the Bedingfield Arms so I'll arrange something for the New Year. It would be nice to know what the majority would prefer as far as day of the week and breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Any weekend day suits me Baz. I'm easy for any of the 3 options timewise, but if I had a choice I'd probably choose breakfast or lunch over an evening meal. 👍
