Rob Hunter - Club Secretary
Hi All! Weather permitting, @Julie Hall - WSCC AO Representative and I are doing a little meet up at 10am on Saturday morning at Curborough (Netherstowe Lane, WS13 8EJ). It is the MX5 Owners Club sprint day and spectators are free as usual. Hopefully we will see some of you there for a coffee and a bacon buttie (other reasonably priced artery hardening breakfast options are available 😉).

Stuart
Weather permitting I'll pop up from Worcester. Sold our MX5 last year so I'll have to slum it in the Westfield.....
Rob Hunter - Club Secretary
Early start for me this morning helping Gary fit some new wheels to the MEV Rocket before heading down to the Curburgring. The weather forecast was good, so of course I hit rain on the way down and then we had a bit more minutes after we all arrived 🤦♂️ Despite the changeable weather we had a great turnout with a good showing of Westfields (Tony, Colin, Stuart, Dale and myself) plus some of the local NWKCOG guys coming along too in a MEV, MK and GBS. Julie and Glen had driven down in their MX5, Nigel doing his James Bond impression in his beautiful Aston Martin and Del brought the gorgeous TR6 out to play. Tim also arrived up a little later with his son in his MX5. The damp weather made for some fun on track action with some over enthusiastic MX5 owners doing some artistic pirouettes in various places around the circuit, thankfully no harm done though (except some brown trousers I suspect! 😂). Great to see you all, hope you all got home safely 👍
Julie Hall - WSCC AO Representative
Thank you to @Rob Hunter Derby & Notts AO for this event, it has been a fine gathering of motors of all sorts making for a very interesting morning. 2 hands and only 1 mouth hey Hedley😂 Our cute little MX5 that is such a pleasure to drive, love it. Derek's TR6, immaculate all round, lovely to see Overview of the parking area MX5 in disguise, limited edition MEV I wondered down to the paddock and took some photo's, when I got back and Glen saw this photo he asked if I had sneaked a crafty track moment in😀 At only £45 per car this day was a bargain Tim's ride for the day I was interested to see what tyres the MX5 owner's were using and it seems there is no hard and fast rules. I saw lot's of Nankang NS2R, Michelin Pilot Sport 4 on the racing car, ToyoT1R, Yokohama Advansport and many more. @NigelO still didn't wear his suit despite bringing his Aston Martin, never mind, it was still nice to see him and have our usual laughs. Great morning out, nice to be back at Curborough, we didn't realise how much we have missed it.
