Half Hood for MSA roll bar

How are people attaching their soft bits for sevens half hoods to the MSA roll bar. The fitting to the rear stays are no issue but the side fitting need to be high to allow the Velcro strap to clear the cross bars but I have no adjustment  on the strap to keep it taught. I might need to cut it and sew back shorter. Am I missing something or is it made wrongly.

have not seen those fastenings before.

Should the wrap around bits not go wrap around the vertical bar below the cross bars.

If they are above there is nothing to stop them slowly (or not slowly) sliding up the vertical bar as pressure is applied. If wrapped around the vertical bar below the cross bars the cross bar will stop the movement upwards.

I had the same issue the straps were to wide to fit below the cross member properly and weren’t quite long enough to join the velcro securely below the bar so I removed the big velcro and used   smaller Velcro straps to fit below the bar.

(It’s not easy to hand stitch through the velcro though it’s quite stiff and some swearing was involved!)

I should have made Justin aware really but needed to use it and took quite a while to arrive so just adjusted it myself! Here’s how my original straps fitted. I removed from the strap lock and made new longer straps using nylon strap and sewed 25mm double sided velcro at right angles at the base. To wrap under the cross bar to stop it sliding up.
