Stuart Davis AO - Devon Cornwall & Somerset Posted July 20, 2022 Posted July 20, 2022 Not that there was much to start with, but this seals it I reckon. I’m unfortunately living up to my forum name currently so have had to remove the seat from my SEi to fit in comfortably. To date I’ve just been sitting on the floor, which is fine for half an hour or so, but even with a generous behind it does get a bit numbing after a while. Cue an old garden seat cushion from Mum’s shed 🤪. Surprisingly comfy, and I guess no one will see it until I get out! In other news, my Lonsdale trainers bought after a tip from here (thanks @BigSkyBrad 👍) seem ideal. I bought half a size under and they are pretty tight, but it makes life a lot easier down in that pedal box as I’m a size 11. 6 Quote
Terry Everall Posted July 21, 2022 Posted July 21, 2022 Maybe stuff it inside a black cover ? to make it a bit more discreet🤣 2 Quote

John Loudon - Sponsorship Liaison Posted July 21, 2022 Posted July 21, 2022 Whasp a matt black aerosol (hopefully spelt correctly 🙂 ) over it 1 Quote
Ian Kinder (Bagpuss) - Joint Peak District AO Posted July 21, 2022 Posted July 21, 2022 I would say in the words of a certain Colin Chapman, added lightness.................... However based on the owners own admission. Perhaps this isn't appropriate. As I said to a former colleague (nickname was Lard) who was fitting perspex windows to his Nova Rally car at great pain and expense, it was suggested it would be easier and more cost effective to go on a bacon slicer 🤣 3 Quote
Rob Hunter - Club Secretary Posted July 21, 2022 Posted July 21, 2022 Now @HB46443 has raised his seat runners, he might have a spare cushion you can have 😂 1 2 Quote

My easiest route to better performance is likely to be losing the at least 30kg I know I can shift, when I may request a name change to ‘slightlychunkyblokestu’ 😉 It would be great to reach a stage where I can lose the flowery cushions and refit the driver’s seat. 1 1 Quote

Stuart Davis AO - Devon Cornwall & Somerset Posted May 6, 2023 Author Posted May 6, 2023 I’m heading to the Breakfast club and Haynes Museum in the morning, and suddenly remembered my flowery seat! With my new found sewing machine skills, I’ve finally given myself something a little less embarrassing! It’s a little more comfy too 👍 2 1 Quote
