Its the ones they don't tell you about that you have to worry about. Anyone been buzzed by the helicopter in our area?

Well,

another blat out in the XTR2 on sunday just gone.  Weather fantastic and well - the car is ok too ;)

We set ourselves a time for setting off - 8:30am in the morning as to miss some of the matlock traffic.  At 9:15am I was still zonked out in bed (oops!!!;)

On saturday the rear end of the car was getting noisey - a little worried that the chain was getting warn (we've done nearly 1000 miles in the last 3 months - cold, greasy, icey roads).

So - at 10:15am we decided it was time to change the chain - what fun.  Two hours later everything was done.  We did make a bit of a balls up whilst removing links from the chain - it ended up being 1 link to short for the standard size sprocket - and the next size down - and the size after that LOL.  The gears are now very very short and I reckon we have a theoretical top speed of about 125mph now (40mph in sixth is 4,000rpm).

So off to matlock we go - saw chap in a cateringvan who gave us the nod.  Its the bikers that seemed most amazed with the car mind....they just freak when they hear the busa engine in the back.

I think another trip could be on the cards for next weekend :)

Be safe out there
