Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman Posted April 16, 2022 Posted April 16, 2022 I love seeing Westfields queued up at a port, reminds me of the fun and adventure these cars embody. 3 Quote
Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman Posted April 17, 2022 Posted April 17, 2022 Sorry folks, got fifteen minutes out from home and miss-fire is back, RTB. I'll have to miss today's run. (It's just slightly different from last time, I'm suspecting the original Honda electrical connectors on the coils. Will have a proper look when it's cooled a little.) 3 Quote
Andy_R Posted April 17, 2022 Posted April 17, 2022 Thank you to everyone for taking the time to make my son welcome this morning ... he loved sitting in the cars and being spoilt by the lovely lady at McDonald's. Hope you're all having a good blat and the traffic is light 🤞 7 Quote
Popular Post NigelO Posted April 17, 2022 Popular Post Posted April 17, 2022 As usual, an excellent day around the Peak District - warm and dry, not too many cyclists and the only caravans were already parked up out of harm's (and our) way. Three photos from the drone - might have some video tomorrow when I can edit them to make a decent minute or two. 7 3 Quote
Glynn Walters Posted April 17, 2022 Posted April 17, 2022 First proper (warmish!) sunny run out this year in the peaks, loved it👍 some brilliant driving views, thanks again Julie and everyone else😎 5 Quote

Popular Post Julie Hall - WSCC AO Representative Posted April 17, 2022 Author Popular Post Posted April 17, 2022 10 cars met at McD's on a warm and sunny Easter Sunday, 9 Westfield's and Andy with his son, Josh in the Porsche. Excuse me while I have a Porsche moment. Josh tried the Westfield's for size, just in case dad wants to buy one 😉 Parked at McD's After Nigel fine tuned my route 😁 he then declared that he had bought the drone with him and if I could find some quiet road he would film the cars for us, it is rude to refuse so here we are. Mine All of us After the filming we got a clear run up Crowdecote, came back round on the new road and landed at Hulme End where we just about managed to fill the car park up. At Hulme End Bonnets came off Car park Big Andy and Debs were waiting for us, they are supposed to be at their caravan but managed to sneak out and meet us. Over in the red corner Martin Glynn A was bribed into revealing his super charged Honda engine for us to feel inadequate over Nigel was checking the weight of his bonnet so he can decide if he wants a carbon fibre one or not😉 Painting carbon fibre is not a crime and Nigel's car looks lovely for it. It is a religious day so Rob was blessing Glynn. We have been blessed with quiet roads and great company, but if you all don't behave yourselves this will be the future Thanks for a great day out everyone and thank you for your comments and photo's afterwards, it makes all the effort worthwhile xxx 7 1 2 Quote
Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman Posted April 17, 2022 Posted April 17, 2022 Was gutted to miss today, but got fifteen minutes from home, all going well, and a variation on the misfire returned. After checking at home, the original Honda plugs that connect to the (all brand new) ignition coils sat on top of each spark plug, are showing various degrees or heat ageing and failing. So new Sumitomo plugs ordered, hopefully should only take a few days to get them. Looks like you all had a fantastic time, not jealous at all! 1 2 Quote

Thanks for the photo's and video's. I have been as far as the viaduct but the road was closed beyond that so I will go again. 16 hours ago, NigelO said: video tomorrow Brill photo's, will look forward to the drone footage, thank you Quote
Labrat Posted April 18, 2022 Posted April 18, 2022 Looks like a good run out. Sorry to have missed it. You were brave going through. Matlock Bath on a bank holiday A couple of weeks ago there was a Corsa on its roof in that exact spot. No idea what they did to get it there in that state?! 1 Quote
