Really enjoyed the day! Great, and mostly smooth(!) roads 😁 Fantastic weather again, just an awesome day out. Thanks to Brad and Diane for all the work that went into making the event so enjoyable. It was good to catch up with everyone on the day and at the hotel later. Thanks all! 👍

Thanks to everyone who joined the run this year, especially Brian and Dave'n'Jen who've made it 3 for 3. The weather was great, though maybe a little too hot and no wind (back of my neck is a bit scorched), the roads were near empty, and a lovely evening at the hotel with some bevvies and banter. The only thing missing was a few more cars to make the day even more fun.

And a nod to Brian who was the only one to not miss a beat yesterday (no lost, no cheat, no emergency envelope open), while man-handling his V8 brutus, and solo to boot!

Cheers, Brad and Diane

Car washed and the gooey whatever it was jet washed off

The more I think about it, Brian was the 1st car out and he had the most of it on his - he must have hit a Haggis (though they are normally nocturnal) and the rest of you ran over the roadkill. It must have been Haggis 'juice'.

Hi Brad,

I met you (and everyone else there) briefly on Saturday morning at the start of the day. I was Stephen's navigator. This was a first for me, as my nav skills probably demonstrated 🤪. I had a great day and a lot of laughs, especially at the doubling back parts. I just wanted to day a huge thank you for what has been the best day out I've had in a very long time. Truly appreciate all the effort you put into this.👍

Cheers,

Craig

Hi Guys

What a fantastic day and a huge well done to Brad and Diane for all the hard work involved in pulling all this together.
Cant wait for next year and was so close to the end. Hopefully I’ll get to finish next time. (Think I’ve ran out of excuses now lol )

Yeah what was that gloop stuck to the cars ??? .. lol

Definitely picked the right day, went back up to Biggar the next day to visit the car show and spent 1hr in traffic on the high street with the stress of the westie overheating 🥵.. not nice at all !!

Anyway I’d mentioned about making a video and posting it on here. It’s currently getting uploaded so watch this space and I’ll share the link asap 😁😁.

Thanks again everyone for a great day !!

We came in to Biggar from the Peebles end and there was no queue whatsoever, something to remember if you go next year. We felt sorry for all those queued up way past the edge of town, especially when we saw you joining the end of the line.

Great video Jamie, very professional, and glad you took most of the shots before we all drove through the molasses (or whatever it was)!

Jamie'n'Joe were one of only two to make it to our (surprise-location) Checkpoint Charlene near the end of the first leg.
