Paul Hurdsfield - Joint Manchester AO Posted January 15, 2022 Posted January 15, 2022 Not me (again) I'm afraid, still doing bits and bobs on the Westy, plus just booked a one way flight to South East Asia for a mission starting in 10 days. Sshhhh Quote
Andy_R Posted January 16, 2022 Posted January 16, 2022 Great to meet up with everyone this morning and sorry I couldn't stay for the run & lunch. Hopefully everyone is enjoying the blat and the cowboy hats are starting to make sense 🙂 Weather on my drive home was lovely until I got to Sheffield ... so the top went up as it started to rain 😞 @Ian Kinder (Bagpuss) - Joint Peak District AO You should have seen the look of horror from the driver coming towards us after you overtook that car a little after Quackers ... white as a sheet springs to mind 👻 6 Quote
Julie Hall - WSCC AO Representative Posted January 16, 2022 Author Posted January 16, 2022 Great photo's there @Andy_R, thanks for posting them, we will miss you when you move to the Isle of Arran Top going down 6 Quote
Rob Hunter - Club Secretary Posted January 16, 2022 Posted January 16, 2022 Little video of everyone leaving Quackers..... Sorry for the delay in the middle, we had to wait for Brokeback Bennett (aka @HB46443) to polish his rusty Sherrifs badge before he drove off... judging by the little slide in the car park, it may have needed cleaning again after this too 😂 4 1 2 Quote

Hedley, our Entertainments Manager, decided that we were to make a Western, aren't we all daft and very compliant Parked at Quackers, 8 Westfield's and 2 Porsches Rob and Tony had to escape South and AndyR took off North after breakfast, but it was lovely to see you all, thank you for joining us. The rest of us headed down the 13 bends, up Curbar Gap, down Surprise View before hitting the little lanes for the last section, landing us at The Eyre Arms, Calver for lunch. Curbar Edge Up to Curbar Gap Hairy legs and scruffy cars at the Eyre Arms Our Choreography Manager, Hedley, did a good job in the car park, of doing what we are not quite sure, but it was fun. Parked at The Eyre Arms, poor Big Andy had his car machined polished and ceramic coated last week, well now it is sludge coated too...for freeee😮 In the Eyre Arms You folks are all fantastic for coming out on a cold, at times damp, January day in our fun, summer cars. I hope that you have all enjoyed the route, the venues and the company, we certainly have XXXXXXXX🥰 12 Quote

But don't worry, we will be back, unless the mission goes belly up We have now booked a return flight with a different airline, due to the current situation we had a number of flights with different airlines on hold, so we had to co-ordinate available flights with our itinerary. WE WILL BE BACK See you in march 3 Quote

It was a leisurely pass in 3rd, could have dropped to 2nd for more zip 😉 4 5 Quote
ianali Posted January 17, 2022 Posted January 17, 2022 Rather annoyed that I missed this run, as I look very good in a hat! It was/is Ali’s birthday weekend/week though so we are away in the sunny riviera. Looked a fun day out, as ever 👍 1 1 Quote
