We stopped off at a scenic view spot called Murador de los Buitres which is one of the most breathtaking views I think I’ve ever seen

We did an afternoon photo shoot for Terry but he struggled to hold his breath 😄

130 mile blatt south today taking the scenic route, Wayne and Gwen went solo setting off early to go visit relatives in route , the rest of us set off with grey skies and damp on roads but by the time we arrived in Ponferrada it was sunny and the outside temp was 39 degrees C 🥵 the cars coped but we struggled (except the Pandas in the airconed BM. Going faster in the westy didn’t help cool me down as the wind coming around the side of the wind deflectors was like a hot hair dryer burning my eyes, anyway the ice cold Heineken at the hotel was worth it 😄

We’ve got underground parking at this hotel but only just managed it down the ramp

Non driving day today for us, a bit of sightseeing in Ponferrada. Some nice Architecture and some nice graffiti as well 😎

Went for a Chinese buffet tonight as the hotel was having an all day wedding event in the banquet room directly underneath our bedrooms, another doo had kept us awake last night quite late. We noticed tonight men going into the toilets “together” and coming out appearing upset “sniffling” so I went in with my walkie talkie turned on clipped to my shorts, adorned also with pink shirt and WSCC baseball cap backwards.. must have looked like under cover UK Miami Vice.. I got some concerned points, mumbles and stares 😅

 

.. anyway buffet feed was great apart from Wayne and myself went for chicken thighs which were a tad on the small side..

Wayne had to deploy the wooden dog this morning to get out of the hotel underground ... and fair play to him it worked !

We covered 100 miles today travelling east to a 2 night log cabin stop North of Leon called Las Cabañas Vegaquemada, lovely blue skies, hot and some cracking fast twisties 😎 although there was one high speed altercation with a uneven road bump which took a few thou’ of all our lowered floor seat bolts 😕
