Breakdown Cover

I can't remember the figure but it was significantly higher than the last time I took it.

I ended up going with autoaid instead. I vaguely remember it was around half the price of the a plan cover.

Can anyone please tell me how much APlan are charging for UK breakdown cover currently?

£44.95 taken out in June. That also covers European cover, not that I will need that part of it.

Really? I was quoted 90 quid this time I'm sure. Wonder if it's linked to the price of the policy then as I've had it off them before and do remember it was 40 to 50 quid.

Yeah, I have never had cover before as I don't do much distance driving, this year I went for it , I think there was a discount or something that went with it to get it to that price, could have been £20 or so, but don't quote me.

Ah.  Last time I took it out with A Plan it was about £30.  So I went with AutoAid for £42 to cover 3 cars.  We now only have 2 cars and AutoAid has gone up to £75 if any car is over 16 years old, which my Westfield is.  But still looks as if it may be the best value

Yeah, mine was forty odd, with APlan. Actually had to use it this year, too. When my clutch slave cylinder failed completely up near the Cat and Fiddle, in the Peaks.

Very good service, and recovered home on the truck of shame with no fuss.

I had to use AutoAid about 3 years ago when my throttle cable snapped leaving Stoneleigh.  They were there in 45mins, deliberated for a few seconds on whether they could fix it then took me home

not for the Westfield but the long camper van bit was with Auto Aid but its a bit dearer now £59 rings a bell but not sure.

Went with Aplan as its insured with them as well as the Westfield and it was around £45

@Stuart I don't have it any more but that's a good question.

Now you mention it I think it was personal cover so covered anything I drove.

For me I only needed it for the camper so didn't matter but for others that would be an advantage
