I’m in Bourne @JamesGN so would be good to meet up when the weather sorts itself out! Tried to link you in but not successful. Thought you might have updated the ‘ mattv ‘ bit to ‘I’ve no bolts in my prop shaft Matt’ 😀. Hope all is well and look forward to seeing you. Quote
JamesGN Posted May 8, 2021 Author Posted May 8, 2021 I'm going to head out for an hour in the morning not sure where yet Quote

As well as the throttle cable after it left me stranded waiting for the AA man to come and rescue me..! Looking forward to seeing everyone (and obligatory cake) soon. Can’t do tomorrow though as I’m having my 5G chip installed 2 Quote
AndrewBClarke Posted May 8, 2021 Posted May 8, 2021 @JamesGN would love to meet you. We can meet for coffee tomorrow if you are interested. How about The Petwood Hotel, Woodhall at 10.30? I would need to book a table so look forward to hearing from you. If there are any other WSCC members wishing to join in, please drop me a note. Andrew Quote

Andrew I have mate coming over at half 10, I have added him to my insurance so he can drive my westy, I reckon I could get there for about 11. Quote
Brewster Posted May 8, 2021 Posted May 8, 2021 I'm North Lincs in Brigg, but I'm very much up for meeting up at Willingham Woods. I can't do until June though unfortunately. Quote

Booking a table these days is complicated 😀. Please PM me with your names and a telephone number as I have to give these with table booking. 1 Quote

AndrewBClarke Posted May 9, 2021 Posted May 9, 2021 Firstly welcome to a new member - @JamesGN Good to meet you and co-driver Chris and hopefully we didn't scare you off and will see you at more trips out soon. After Saturdays deluge a promptly arranged little gathering took place today at the stunning Petwood Hotel in Woodhall Spa. Shame we could not go in and enjoy seeing the memorabilia from the 617 squadron but this is the effect of COVID restrictions. This hotel was the officers mess for the famous Dambusters. The hotel are serving meals (and cake) under a tent in the restored gardens so a table was booked to ensure we had a dry place to gather. First to arrive was @AndyMM. Big smile on his face and he had clearly enjoyed his drive from Cleethorpes. Something about getting back in a Westy after various lockdowns. Next was the newbees - @JamesGN in his lovely green Toybox car that he had bought in January - good timing! Cake - yes - just a little - but Clare ate it all - we didn't get a look in - honestly. As it was meant to be a quick coffee as @JamesGN was 'out for an hour', we parted and went our separate ways. Short but sweet (the cakes were apparently) Hopefully restrictions will ease soon and the weather might become a little more predictable 4 2 Quote

JamesGN Posted May 18, 2021 Author Posted May 18, 2021 Weather for the Bank Holiday is looking good, if its stays that way I will be out on a proper run on the Saturday, maybe to the peaks if not it will be the wolds or anywhere anyone can suggest. And if anybody else is up for it. Quote
