That does look smart, you have the same roof support metal work as I do, I need to have a good think on how best to re-roof mine and if that means having to spend more than I wanted to to produce a decent long lasting roof then so be it.

Nice roof although I prefer the fixings in the crown for low angle sheeting, especially when trees are around as leaves/twigs can catch on screw heads causing isolated damming, ok when new but after a few years of weather movement the seal under the screw head can wear/deteriorate and allow leaks. I have had a few applications leak after about 5 years when using valley fixing where constant cleaning didn't happen.

This has happened to mine which is why it leaks now, the over hanging trees from a house in the next street ( gardens are back to back) have basically worn through the sheets in places, and despite cutting the offending branches and clearing the leaf litter away every spring , it never takes long before its back to being a pain, also with the leaf litter on there, that attracts moss which is another  issue. The moss builds up collecting leaf litter and before you know it its leaking in all over the place. A pitched roof is the answer here I am aware, so that is another option.

Have a look at this, it is very long lasting and won't break the bank. Use a wood panel saw coated with white spirit to cut it to size to stop the saw sticking.

Had these supplied when bought a new shed, held water at bay for about 8 years but couldn't withstand the twigs the trees threw at it. The roof was timber sheeted so corrugated sat on top, don't know how good it is at spanning between purlins and I certainly wouldn't walk on it without crawl boards. Now taken down I am still using them for smaller jobs although they do like growing moss.

Oh they are reasonable aren't they. Seems the more options there are the harder it is to decide what to do....

Sorry about the repeat posts, there is something odd going on as it just sits here saying 'saving' then never posts, I only posted the above once.

Thank you Dave, I realised this when I saw someone else having the same issue - no worries , all good.

Wickes do a green bitumen impregnated corrugated system which is ok.

This is basically made by onduline if I remember right. I did my previous garage roof in the stuff, it was about 18m2. a couple of things to note. you can get cracking deals online for the 3mm onduline. It does have a minimum pitch which is easy to make out of timber and OSB sheeting. It also has a designated amount to overlap based on the angle.

I found it easy to handle although a bit of a pest to cut with a hand saw. using their nails which had an incorporated cover made it very straight forwards and if you follow the guide lines comes with a 15 yr guarantee.

would help if i read all the posts (just browsing while in a very boring meeting) I think that link was where i bought mine from. It really is easy to fit

@OldStager I thought I would post an update. We have had our asbestos garage roof replaced today. It took the 2 guys 2.5 hours in the cold wind and rain. The anti drip coating got wet at the edge and he was able to demonstate how absorbant it is and how quickly it dries out, which was good.

Thank you Julie. That looks really smart, I think I have decided to use the same stuff, but it's a summer job for me. Thanks for the update.
