I did mine end of October. I hate paying car tax when it's not being used.

Ditto ^^^

With current COVID climate and the roads here covered in snow and ice, i know i would never use it. Besides, it gives me time to look at upgrades and tinkering and not looking for 'the' day when i could go for a run out.

Mainly because of Covid restrictions this year, end of October too.

my logic is that saving £22 per month between Nov and April easily pays for the winter service consumables

Mine on SORN from end of October. Dash in bits doing a new layout and better wiring.

My duty is to ensure Gov gets as little of my money as possible. Gov has been known to waste money on rare occasions.

HI John, happy new year!

Not very often your average person can avoid tax, so Sorn it is.

Nov till Feb. maybe March.

Then maybe have a run to Squires😁

Had mine for 20 years. I drove it in the winter for the first 4 or 5. That novelty wore off and ever since it has been sorned from 31/10. Every April 1st is like driving it for the first time all over again.....

As you can SORN on line now,  it’s so easy to to go on and off road at your leisure. I’ve even Sorned a month for my summer holiday.

Much the same here, 30 years this year, SORN when the weather turns, usually back on the road in May as we (used to) holiday late April/early May.
