First day out of quarantine.

Well Boys and girls where do I begin?
Today is our first day out of quarantine.

We rose at 6.30am for an 8am check out from our hotel, from there it was straight to the airport for an 11.20am flight to Phuket.

On arrival Paul Jnr met us in a taxi and off we went

to Phuket marina, there a tender was waiting to take us to some little boat anchored somewhere, we were greeted by a large group of Paul’s friends, I’ll let the photos tell the rest of the story 😎

Sorry Cap'n but we only have one suitcase here, the tee shirt is in one of the other four that have gone straight to juniors house😀

I wish i'd have thought of that though, but the boat thing was a surprise, we knew nothing til' the taxi pulled into the marina 😎

The boat was only a day thing, I believe it is available for rent at £10,000 a day, but Paul know's someone, who know' someone, who know's the owner, so they got it for the price of the fuel, booze and food.🚤

Not a bad welcome though, I'm sure you will agree 👍

Fuel booze and food could be well over 5K for the day depending on how far it moved and how old the champagne was...

 

Did they provide you with a step-stool so you could hop in to the Captains chair? Those things can be quite high...

My brother in law has a friend not short of a Bob or two. And they did a weekend in one of those and it was 15k in fuel alone. Boats are ruinous ha.

We were told the owner is an American film producer and he paid 45,000,000thb for it, then spent over 30,000,000thb re-fitting it to its current spec.

At the bottom of the stairs there was a collage of photos of him with various film stars.
