Terry Everall
The advantage was that at 16yrs old onwards you could drive them on a full motorbike licence which I had.

Terry Everall
Davep1 ---thats exactly what it had and you did not have a drivers door so had to get in through passenger door hoping that the engine did not stall before you reached the accelerator pedal !! You quickly learned not to stall it especially in traffic

jeff oakley
Lots of people had those as you could drive on a Motorbike licence. My uncle had one of those and then progressed to a Reliant. Hard to believe now that he was considered rich to own one of those in Denaby. He told me he learned a lot in that about momentum keeping the speed up as much as you coula a all times
Terry Everall
Yes you did learn a hell of a lot about tyre grip, engine revs and a lack of brakes !
Davep1
My father had one in the 60's - a bit of a wreck but he got it given. He got rid of it after a particularly bad winter in the yorkshire dales where we lived. Not the best car on snowy roads, especially with 1 wheel drive. Its party trick was to virtually turn in its own length, as the front wheel turned nearly 90 degrees.
Terry Everall
The car would turn in its own length so no reverse needed
Captain Colonial
Fixed that for me - made my head hurt the other way! I’m guessing here, but the stickers on the side look like a bowling pin, a Champion spark plug logo... and 007? 😆
