knipex
I need to find a source for some x-flow bits. Exhaust manifold gasket. Rocker cover gasket. Sump gasket. and any general bits and pieces I will need over the next few years.. Local motor factors dont seem to stock parts..
Rob Navin
Possibly the easiest place to get them is from Burton Power on 01208 542281 or www.burtonpover.com They do mail order so if you talk to them get them to send a new calalouge out as well. I would recomend the competition sump gasket over the cork one for durability and leak proof sumps. HTH Rob
scruffythefirst
leak proof sumps. Sorry, i'm bored! Scruffy
Martin Keene
I would recomend the competition sump gasket over the cork one for durability and leak proof sumps. There speaks an experienced xflow owner... Second Rob's choice for the sump gasket, anything else is just a waste of time.
Major Stare
I'll third that........get the competition gasket. Go to www.burtonpower.co.uk NOT www.burtonpover.com as Rob put
westy666
burtons are certainly good for all things ford altho can be pretty pricey. depends whether ya want shiny new bits on a 20 yr old engine or are prepared to take the chance with seconds hand parts i guess. ebay usually has a fair amount of xflow bits on it, there was a full gasket kit on there last week. i also regularly check out rallyusedparts.co.uk as the xflow escorts are still getting wrapped round trees frequently enough for them to broken up. nlash
I need to find a source for some x-flow bits. Exhaust manifold gasket. Rocker cover gasket. Sump gasket. Also if you have an ally rocker cover I would go for the paper rocker cover gasket over the cork one. They are much easier to fit and seal a lot better than cork. Again, available from Burton Power. Thrustyjust
And if you have a ported head to go for the large bore exhaust gasket set.
Mark Stanton
And Sponsors ProTune in Barnet and Ferriday in Stafford can supply and advise on all things Ford - just possibly, maybe cheaper than Burton for some items
Doug D.
Vulcan engines aren't bad for xflow bits, agreed on the comp sump gaskets. and try a better motor factor, i work for one and we stock xflow bits or can get them next day( which of course has nothing whatsoever to do with me running one)
