there’s parts of that chassis that don’t look quite right to me and it’s missing a few brackets here and there.  I’d want to be very certain it had a Westfield chassis plate welded to the front tube if I was to consider buying it.

Agree - doesn’t look right to me.

That looks to be missing a few structural members as well, though it may be the tricky angles in some shots. It looks a bit like someone may have taken an older pendulum pedal type chassis and, er, started chopping out some stuff, and welding fresh in, then just abandoned it, part done.

 

Or maybe it’s started life as an accident damaged chassis, with bits cut out and replaced, with the intent to improve at the same time, and again, was abandoned part way through.

 

Either way a HUGE. Amount of caution required, you’d really need to know your stuff to take it on.
