si_salisbury Posted July 12, 2020 Posted July 12, 2020 Good afternoon all, hope you all have been having fun in the cars while the sun is out. looking for advise on editing software for editing GoPro footage, I like the little app that you download but I fill all my storage up on my phone using it, I like the way it is quick and easy. I have tried one or two free video editing software but don’t seem to get it working right, the quality of footage is rubbish. just like to ask if anyone can advise on free editing software or small one off charge if it’s worth it. thanks🙂 Quote
Geoffrey Carter (Buttercup) Posted July 12, 2020 Posted July 12, 2020 imovie is very easy to use. Quote
Robin Parker (Red Spider) - Yorkshire AO Posted July 12, 2020 Posted July 12, 2020 I use Open Shot. It's free and easy to use, well l can use it, so it must be. Quote
Auryn Posted July 12, 2020 Posted July 12, 2020 Open shot is simple and good. Also Windows 10 has a simple built in one. Not as good as those mentioned above but might get you going. Link to how to find it in photos app here : https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.howtogeek.com/355524/how-to-use-windows-10s-hidden-video-editor/amp/ Quote
Ian Kinder (Bagpuss) - Joint Peak District AO Posted July 13, 2020 Posted July 13, 2020 @si_salisbury is on phone editing the requirement or do you use a PC/Mac? (I've edited the title slightly for you too)? The GoPro free software on PC isn't particularly good and you're limited to producing a 60 second clip! I use Adobe Premiere Elements on a Win 10 PC. It’s more pc or MacBook Air. The app on the iPhone is good but the data storage it not big enough to download and edit with. Quote
Geoffrey Carter (Buttercup) Posted July 13, 2020 Posted July 13, 2020 Do you have iMovie already. It came already installed on my MacBook. Quote

I did but it wouldn’t open, but after many hours of pulling out what’s left of my hair I realised it the operating software need updating which then took an age. I’m going to have a play tonight when finished work. As you can tell I don’t do computers they just push my buttons🤬. thank you all for you advise. Quote
