Popular Post BigSkyBrad Posted June 10, 2020 Popular Post Posted June 10, 2020 I'm defo in the 'mine's a tip too' club - though I know where most of the stuff is most of the time. Wish I had painted the walls white when we moved in, too much s**t to move now! It's not all mine though, the left side is commandeered by the missus' car, because (she) "don't do windscreen scraping" - I don't argue because I like being fed. My property back in NZ was a perfect man-land - the 'house' was a self-build barn with three car garage plus workshop downstairs, and a studio flat upstairs, all on 2.7 acres high up on a range that on a clear day you could see two snow-capped volcanoes 150 miles away. If you've wondered where my profile name comes from... 17 Quote

Paul T Posted June 13, 2020 Posted June 13, 2020 I’ve worked in lesser F1 pit garages that that! Quote

Ah, the eternal quest for 'retirement' that mythical beast that transforms the minute you think you have it snagged! Hope you find the rest of the car soon... 1 Quote

Add a load of LED lights from screwfix to help my aging eyesight and its a great workbench. I went to town with the EVA foam so there is pretty much a place for everything which helps my putting away when Im done problem dramatically. Its an old Cattle shed that has had all the open areas bricked in and insulated and the roof done before me, I just added the final touches.. Quote
Andy_R Posted June 15, 2020 Posted June 15, 2020 So my lockdown project was to tidy and make the garage look a little nicer. I fitted the floor when we moved in and quickly replaced the door with an insulated electric type to help my back! I also got a few of the Sealey units which are fantastic. The walls are now painted, there is plenty of light and lots of sockets. Next job will be to plaster the breeze block wall / box in the electrics and then plumb in some heating but I'll probably wait until the kids go back to school (if that ever happens!!!!!!! 😅) as I'll need some distraction free time for that! 5 Quote
