Ian Kinder (Bagpuss) - Joint Peak District AO Posted May 25, 2020 Posted May 25, 2020 I never thought I'd hate gravity so much! @marcusb You get much better views with this than squinting in the back garden in the early hours! 1 Quote
Blatman Posted May 25, 2020 Posted May 25, 2020 Half an hour of not doing too much followed by 30 seconds of massively over compensating on pitch/yaw/translate blah blah blah... What I need it a couple of joysticks rather than a mouse ... . . . . And about 10 years practice... 1 Quote
Andy Malone - Editor Posted May 25, 2020 Posted May 25, 2020 Managed to park it on the second go. Got frustrated as first time in I thought I'd nailed it and realised at the very last minute the roll was about 1 degree out and it failed me. Decided second time to go in fast and just pulled the brake before writing it off. Quote

Nemesis Posted May 26, 2020 Author Posted May 26, 2020 It's logical captain..... zero the pitch, yaw and roll then translate..... and not into Russian! I love the way you can increase the closure rate then slam on the gas brakes! Simples!! Nem.... Quote

corsechris Posted May 26, 2020 Posted May 26, 2020 1st try. Probably speaks to too many hours playing Elite I suspect. Sadly, I doubt that'll get me a ride on the next one going up, although I’d jump at it given the chance. Quote

I didn't get it first attempt, but then carried out 4 consecutive successful dockings in a row. I'm awaiting my phone call from Elon as I type this, and when I get on board I'll save you a seat.... 1 Quote
