Popular Post SXRORY Posted May 4, 2020 Popular Post Posted May 4, 2020 My Westy is a pretty paired back affair so today I set about making it more of a touring spec. So heres where it started 5 minutes later I completed the conversion! I honestly think this is a game changer for me! no more sore elbow! 👍 Cad drawings, blueprints and 3d renders can be posted in tech section if any one wants to make one. If lockdown lasts too much longer I fear it will look like I covered it in glue and ram raided Halfords! Just want to drive it. Stay safe👍 1 10 Quote
Jenko Posted May 5, 2020 Posted May 5, 2020 love it...pretty extreme make over.....You may want to upgrade the brakes to deal with the extra weight:-) Quote
SXRORY Posted May 5, 2020 Author Posted May 5, 2020 @Jenko this pad needs testing ! How much does Millbrook cost to hire? In my relentless pursuit of comfort I had not considered this 🙄. Quote
Chris Broster Posted May 5, 2020 Posted May 5, 2020 I have to say when I saw the title next to your name @SXRORY I did give a little cry of Noooo! Phew! However as your AO I do want a full article on this conversion for the next Westfield World! 1 Quote
SXRORY Posted May 16, 2020 Author Posted May 16, 2020 So this conversion had its first proper test today, and I don't know quite how I have managed it, but when driving its not big enough, my elbow does not sit there..... like at all. When in the design phase I did get in the car and pretended to drive (even making brum brum noises....you've all done it 😉). I ask myself how I can mess up sticking a foam pad but i have. 🙄 (i do have more foam though👍) 1 2 Quote
