Cortina front uprights, hubs etc

I'm building an SEiW, and after a lot of discussion with @Chris King - Webmaster and Joint North East AO I've decided to change to the Cortina front uprights etc, as my Sierra parts aren't going to work with my non-SDV wishbones (long story, see my build thread!)

I'm looking for the following:

-   Cortina front uprights

-   Cortina Hubs, bearings etc

-   Cortina calipers

-   Cortina discs and pads

-   Matching cycle wing arms.

Anyone got any of these on a dusty shelf at the back of their garage?

Anyone need all of the above, but labelled 'Sierra'? LOL.

Also note - by “Cortina”, Iain means Cortina geometry and fitment. 
 

So Westfield alloy or other uprights and suitable calipers would also work. 👍

Hi Iain,

 

I have Westfield front uprights (Cortina geometry) from my 2002 SEiW, however they are the factory steel fabricated ones complete with hubs, discs.

I also have M16 calipers and braided hoses, cycle wing brackets to suit and standard front wishbones.

 

I can get down to garage tomorrow to take pics to send your way and make sure pistons are not seized in calipers.

 

Being completely honest,  I would replace the discs as they have surface corrosion from being sat there for so long (but they may clean up, but not expensive to replace), and I would powder coat it all again as it has flaked in places.

 

 

The car has been parked in garage since 2007 due to family commitments and house renovations and I have finally finished so I can start turning it into the car I always wanted.

Right then, as promised....in no particular order but as you can see this was all fitted to my one but I have ordered new uprights, hubs, calipers shocks and wide track.

 

The uprights weigh approx 1350 grammes (each) and the hubs are alloy, I would replace the discs but they may well clean up, the pistons are free and this lot has only ever done approx 3600 miles but it has just been sat in garage unused for a long time! 

 

Shame powder coating has started flaking making things look worse😔
