Only fitted to Skodas since about 2000, can yo guess what it is?" My guess - The car park ticket clip on the drivers side windscreen pillar. Gary Spot on Gary, why dont other cars have this? So useful. Quote
GaryH Posted February 12, 2020 Posted February 12, 2020 Agreed, it's really useful. I'm trying to work out something similar for my Westfield. Gary Quote
DamperMan Posted February 12, 2020 Posted February 12, 2020 Many of you guys are saying how much you like parking sensors... In the daily they are good the down side is I forget they are not there when in the wife’s Ibiza or the camper... #ParkingByFeel 1 2 Quote

Andy_R Posted February 13, 2020 Posted February 13, 2020 A zip on the half hood to let the driver out! I wish I had one of those 😞 It's been around for a while now but that handy clip/hole to insert the fuel cap when filling up. My Range Rover have soft close doors all round which means they will fully shut if you don't close them properly. Again it's been around for a while but the third brake light must have saved a lot of lives! Tyre pressure monitors. Heated & COOLED seats. Heated & COOLED steering wheel. Side mirror down lights (normally with the car name / logo showing) which is nice in the dark. Automatic locking doors when ignition is turned on (a must when driving around Rotherham 😂). A button on the roof you press when the car breaks down (really needed in anything built by Land Rover). Quote

I wanted a defender and deliberately bought a bottom of the range one so there is less to go wrong. That and the fact that I'm a cheapskate. I admit that it took a while to get used to not having central locking again, but the family are all well trained now and automatically lock their doors when they get out. Windy windows as well - much faster to get open/closed than electric windows, whilst giving your knuckles a trim at the same time! Quote

You need the windows to work fast as the standard Defender driving style is with arm out of window, I know I used to have one, still got callused elbows to prove it😁 Quote

Central locking (or actually any lock) is also pointless given you can unbolt the doors from the outside... 1 Quote

Even better is when there’s no cap at all. Mine has it built in to the flap. I love the parking camera and sensors. Apart from making it easy to align the trailer hitch, it also means I can get right up to the garage door and block in the Westy so it can’t get nicked 😁 2 Quote
Andrew O Byrne White - Ireland AO Posted February 14, 2020 Posted February 14, 2020 My favourite by a long way is the Jag/Land Rover activity key. For anyone who wants to do water based activities without worrying where to keep your keys it's absolutely fantastic. Used it for surfing loads of times and it's been great. Quote

Ian Podmore Posted February 16, 2020 Posted February 16, 2020 Parking sensors, for safety as much as anything. Climate control is a must for me, and has been for years. Enjoy the active cruise control now as well. So much better than standard cruise control. Quote
