Glen_I Posted January 9, 2004 Share Posted January 9, 2004 Hi, Has anyone used the Westfield mounting kit to fit the alternator to the exhaust side on a 20VX (widebodied car) Cant really afford to go the Diahatsu route as yet, so just thought how reliable this method is, was going to make heat shield to protect altenator as much as possible. redwesty Posted January 10, 2004 Share Posted January 10, 2004 you can use the standard one upside down on exhaust side just make a flat plate first, mount on the 3 bolt holes on that side then bolt old bracket to that . you then need to make a suitable arm adjuster mounted of bottom hole in block.
