Hmmm......

I'm always suspicious of anything

https://claimfor.me/vwclaims/

But what does the collective think?

Has anyone made a claim?

Looks like the ex PPI chaser shysters have found their next gravy train.

... all this "compensation" culture makes me sick.

I'm wondering what you want compensation for... Its your life been any worst due your car having a few more grams of Co2 trough the exhaust?

All this was only uncovered as a pay back for the fine that google had to pay to the EU few months before the Dieselgate.

There are several devices in a car that are only focused on passing the Emissions tests, and is Known in the business. In fact when the diesel gate was uncovered... i though... SO... What??

I could not get the problem. AFAIK at least 4 other major groups that I've been involved with use similar strategies.

@maurici - no intention of claiming myself....

Couldn't fault my Octavia VRSd pre or post 'scandal' fix!

I've just had a few of these claim 'communications' through recently and was curious of validity.

I should have had more clear... Not moaning because I though you wanted to claim...

It was about all this "claim" stuff, not particularly about you.

Sadly, we’ve embraced a few too many US imports of this sort.

”Make a claim, we’ll find someone to blame” should be the slogan. :(

They want you to fund the legal battle they will be making on your behalf and then take a share of any spoils, I looked into it and thought no thanks I didn’t lose anything as faas I was concerned

I had an A6 2.0 TDi that was affected but I never took mine for the recall as a work colleagues Golf was very “I’ll after” the remedial works were carried out and he eventually got it repaired gratis, there where murmurings in the trade that the value of the vehicles would suffer  but I think that was more speculation than anything else

I had a discussion with a person who I knew who was leaping on this bandwagon. He was incandescent with rage and was regaling everyone in the room with how he felt cheated and they must be made to pay him and everyone else even if it bankrupt them.

He soon shut up when i asked him how his remap was going? Many people when faced with free money lose all sense of proportionality regardless.

Watch daytime TV and it is an endless stream of ads for compensation claims, it is sad

This people are just a*****s... sadly the forum police will censure the word... but they are and there is not any other polite word to describe them.

Feeling that you are due for a compensation... well... you are an idiot (particularly if you have a remap in the car) but whatever.

Now... wishing the bankrupt of a company that keeps paying directly or indirectly the salary of about 3.5 milion families around the world... including suppliers and engineering providers, is to have the same thinking capacity of a stone

And we could do with less stones in our society... just saying.
