Insurance win!

It's not often that we can report positive news from insurance companies, but I've just had a great outcome.

I insure my Westie in April each year - currently with Footman James at a cost of £170-ish pa (including both of my sons to drive). When I took out the policy with FJ, they asked if they could quote on a combined plan with the Westie and my daily driver when the renewal came up on the daily

The renewal came in for my daily (very leggy Alfa GT diesel) at just £220, so when FJ called, I wasn't holding my breath.

However, the total premium for the combined cover came in at £360, but off this, they deducted their normal adming fee (£20) and then applied the refund from cancelling the Westie policy (they align the renewal dates)

The end result was a net spend of just £240 to insure both cars and as an added bonus, the mileage is unlimited on both cars!

Even next year, the combined premium looks like it will still be a lot less than two separate policies. Chuffed!

Nice one @NigelO I tried FJ when mine was first reg, and they couldn't quote due to the value being over (10K from memory).
