Burgerbob
Hi all, apologies if this is not posted on the right place. I'm hoping this is an easy fix, but being a bit of a numpty I'm not sure where great to start. As per the picture, the press stud holding the boot cover has broken, leaving just a sheared pin coming out from the car body. Can anyone let me know what I need to purchase, including tools, to fix this? Is there a how to guide? Many Thanks in advance!!
Mark (smokey mow)
The press studs are pop riveted to the body. Just drill out whats left of the old pop rivet and then fit a new one of the same diameter in its place. when riveting to firbreglass i'd also suggest using peal rivets as they don't stress the firbreglass in the same way as a normal pop rivet would do.
