Should the twin carbs be fixed solid to the engine?

My mate saw it a said that they sould be fixed with a compressible "O" plate between!

Carburettas for beginners book ordered!

Your mate is right it should have a rubber gasket round it.

these are available from either burtons or vulcan.

mounting carbs solid will make the fuel froth up and you will get less fuel where you want it. (so i'm told)

Absolutely not......

get the 'misab' plates and rubber mounting kit from Burtons.Best kit for the job.Don't get the plastic grooved plates with the 'o' rings fitted in them and the 'spring' mounting kit.crap stuff.
