Robin Parker (Red Spider) - Yorkshire AO Posted June 8, 2019 Posted June 8, 2019 Midsummer Run to the Sun to the Ship Inn at Sewerby, Bridlington. Meet at the Fox and Grapes at 4pm, drive the scenic way to the east coast for a pub meal at the Ship and come home the same way heading into the sun on (nearly) the longest day. Quote
matthew902 Posted June 8, 2019 Posted June 8, 2019 Up for this one weather permitting. Would meet you at the ship inn. Quote

Robin Parker (Red Spider) - Yorkshire AO Posted June 16, 2019 Author Posted June 16, 2019 Checking the weather and it looks as though it will be fine, cloudy but dry, although it could change by Saturday. As in the first post, meet at the Fox and Grapes, York Road, A64 at 4pm. I've plotted the route , and it's 125 miles from and back to the Fox and Grapes, also included a petrol fill up in Bridlington. Let's hope for a fine, dry night. Quote
Geoffrey Carter (Buttercup) Posted June 16, 2019 Posted June 16, 2019 Hi Robin. Which way are you going from Leeds. I will meet you somewhere along the route. Quote

How about meeting us at the Seaways cafe around 5? Quote
Geoffrey Carter (Buttercup) Posted June 16, 2019 Posted June 16, 2019 Seaways it is. Do you think its worth asking the pub if they have a piece of timber they could lay on the floor in the entrance to their carpark. I may help the low spot. Quote
Robin Parker (Red Spider) - Yorkshire AO Posted June 16, 2019 Author Posted June 16, 2019 Word of warning. The pub car park has a speed hump at the entrance that can ground a Westfield, so be careful going in. We'll probably leave by the coastal path @The Cheese. 1 Quote
Barnsley John Posted June 17, 2019 Posted June 17, 2019 be there if fine with new camera angles Quote
Robin Parker (Red Spider) - Yorkshire AO Posted June 21, 2019 Author Posted June 21, 2019 Route for tomorrow is, Fox and Grapes, Berwick in Elmet, Aberford, Sherburn in Elmet, Cawood, Naburn, Stamford Bridge, Seaways cafe, meeting Geoffrey and Roger, Sewerby. The pub has been in touch and would like to know how many to expect. Could I have a rough idea please? Quote
Geoffrey Carter (Buttercup) Posted June 22, 2019 Posted June 22, 2019 I absolutely loved tonight. Thanks Robin for organising. here are a few pictures and a little film will follow when I have made it. 1 Quote
Robin Parker (Red Spider) - Yorkshire AO Posted June 22, 2019 Author Posted June 22, 2019 10 cars left the Fox and Grapes and headed over to Sewerby. Luckily, we all managed to keep together, easier said than done as I was the only one who knew where we were going. Met 3 more on the way, and another one at the pub making 14 in total. We also managed to gatecrash 2 weddings. Photos to follow. Quote
