Midsummer Run to the Sun to the Ship Inn at Sewerby, Bridlington. Meet at the Fox and Grapes at 4pm, drive the scenic way to the east coast for a pub meal at the Ship and come home the same way heading into the sun on (nearly) the longest day.

Checking the weather and it looks as though it will be fine, cloudy but dry, although it could change by Saturday.

As in the first post, meet at the Fox and Grapes, York Road, A64 at 4pm. I've plotted the route , and it's 125 miles from and back to the Fox and Grapes, also included a petrol fill up in Bridlington.

Let's hope for a fine, dry night.

From Leeds, we'll be heading to Stamford Bridge, up Garrowby Hill along the A166, through Fridaythorpe and on to Sewerby. 

How about meeting us at the Seaways cafe around 5?

Do you think its worth asking the pub if they have a piece of timber they could lay on the floor in the entrance to their carpark. I may help the low spot.

Word of warning. 

The pub car park has a speed hump at the entrance that can ground a Westfield, so be careful going in. We'll probably leave by the coastal path @The Cheese.

10 cars left the Fox and Grapes and headed over to Sewerby. Luckily, we all managed to keep together, easier said than done as I was the only one who knew where we were going. Met 3 more on the way, and another one at the pub making 14 in total. We also managed to gatecrash 2 weddings.
