Adam South Posted May 1, 2019 Posted May 1, 2019 Hi Group Can anyone advise on a good quality press stud tool to use when fitting a new vinyl hood, plus where to get from? - I’ll probably make it to the kit car show so could always pick one up there if see one. Ive already got the studs fitted to the car, but when bought it didn’t have a hood. Thanks Adam Quote
Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman Posted May 2, 2019 Posted May 2, 2019 They all seem much of a muchness, eBay, Soft bits for Sevens, Car Builder Solutions, most trim places like Martrim, or Woolies will usually have them. They're normally sold as a two piece set, one die which is reversible, one side for fitting press stud caps, the other for press stud bases, and a punch tool to flare out the rivet section of the press stud cap. Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman Posted May 3, 2019 Posted May 3, 2019 This is what you’re looking out for, (note this is a three piece set as it includes a hole punch!) https://www.softbitsshop.co.uk/press-stud-tool-420-p.asp Quote
