It would be handy to know who/ how many folk actually applied for an entry and whether they have found themselves on the reserve list.

Terry has worked hard on putting the calendar together and has included some new events and others that have been on the calendar previously but taken off for various reasons. Castle Combe is one of those events.

If there has been plenty of interest but competitors have been not been able to secure an entry due to over subscription then thats one thing , however if only ONE WSCC member has applied then this is going to make things difficult to justify to the organising club that they should be offering the WSCC an invite in the future to what is clearly a popular event.

I refer to one of my earlier posts where I did point out that poor turn outs will only lead to events being dropped in the future, not because we don't want them on the calendar but due to the fact the organisers won't invite us.

I know its early in the year but come on folks please support as many rounds as you can please.

So if you have applied but not got in please let the SSOT know.

Dave, Answering your question on timings, practice runs start at 9.00am and lunch will be whenever they complete the 2 x practice runs, probably 12.30ish.

@Simon_Jones You will likely be leading the speed series after Saturday. If you keep entering events it will be difficult to catch you

Thanks John.  Achieving 5 minutes of fame is not as straightforward as it might seem......  The gearbox was sent off for a re-furb at the beginning of January on a "2-3 week" lead time.  I got it back last week after a lot of chasing and it's still being re-fitted as an evenings only job, plus the car needs to be MOT'd beforehand....

I am part of the Cotswold crew, albeit with a GBS Zero and, due to a change of plans, I am now free and may well pop down from Gloucester for a run out.

Car finished off, MOT done at 4.00pm and the car is on the trailer ready for tomorrow  A bit too much last minute stress, but really looking forward to the first sprint of the year!

I understand Craig Spooner tried to enter but was put on the reserve list. Craig was not happy and I am sure he will provide chapter and verse on the detail!

Dave,  Thanks to you and all the 'South West' club members who came down to support the event.  If was a great day out for everybody to enjoy some wonderful cars being put through their paces.  The weather was bettter than expected for the drived out's and the sprint which was a bonus.    I was really pleased with my class win too !
