VeeEight
A wee bit cold the last few days. Must be getting close to a visit by Santa and the Christmas meal on the 18th. At last the Seight is back in one piece and just to prove it all works I took it for a 100 mile run on Sunday. Great fun if a little cold but the car ran really well. Reminds you how good they are to drive when it's been 8 weeks since it been on the road. Sounds as if we are all sorted for the Le Mans trip 2004 although there have been a few problems with the single drivers getting a decent price. See you all on the 18th. Usual place usual time!!!!!!!!!! Phil
nlash
Phil Good to hear your back on the road again! Have the squeaky pigs left your brakes now? Would have gone for a lengthy drive on Sunday if it wasn't for Robs sump plug being rather seized in its hole. Seems the previous owner neglected to fit a plastic sealing washer and compensated for this by swinging on the spanner. It eventually did shift though but Rob had to buy another plug as the other was severely rounded. Did a quick blast via Stoneleigh area on way back from Robs and saw a couple of Westies out on a blat... dunno who they were though. Le Mans is sorted, had confirmation for Rob n me come through today, just waiting for refund of deposit from MRI now. I have chased them for it and they have promised that it will be forthcoming. Anyways.... see you both at the Xmas dinner... Pauline has offered to drive (shame) so the beer will floweth no doubt! Til then Nige

VeeEight
Rob & Nige LE MANS!!!!!! Good job you two don't have any passengers. With all that extra gear ( lighting, gas stoves, generators, hairdryers, fridges and beer) it could be that slow getting there we might see you as we are coming back. Did you know that Le Houx Annex has it's own dedicated hole in the ground, for you know what and the only shower you can get is when it rains. Never mind!! We might let you into the posh side See you both on Thur Phil
nlash
Hey don't you worry about us Phil.... we have one major advantage that will ensure we won't be carrying as much weight as others.... we're leaving our women at home! Coz we all know how much stuff women need to take along for a few days camping! Of course, you will be invited to cross the fence and slum it on the other side for a few ice cold beers under sultry lighting that doesn't require batteries that will run dry! If Sandy & Val want to charge their ladyshaves or power their curlers then I suppose Rob and I can spare some petrol, As for hole in the ground... Sure we'll cope, i'll bring my spade to dig some fresh ones, lets face it, i'll have the room won't I Showers? Who needs them, i'll have one before I leave then another when I get back home... See you Thursday 18th Phil.... bring your best lines, you gonna need em
