Kevin (Mr T) Posted October 13, 2018 Posted October 13, 2018 Turns out the Sigma doesn't have a gasket as such for the sump, it's sealed with silicon. But what silicon? Any recommendations? Quote

Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman Posted October 13, 2018 Posted October 13, 2018 Id normally always go with the manufacturers own for key joints like that, that can be prone to leaks etc. However, as TJ says, (fantastic to see you back @Thrustyjust ), Hondabond is fantastic stuff! It’s a bit of a faff to apply, as it’s quite thick and hard going to squeeze out, it also has quite a short handling time compared to the average RTV, but in all other respects, it’s hands down the best gasket compound I’ve ever used. Honda must use it for pretty much all the major castings on the S2000 short block. Quote
