tkm_dave
Picked up a very last minute cancellation for an Anglesey trackday at the weekend, literally had just enough time to get things loaded up, fuel trip etc. Experimented with blanking the radiator and oil cooler to get the temps in a decent range (hence still running a hacked about nose cone until I settle on the final cooling setup etc). Even with barely any radiator showing it took a run with very little traffic to get the coolant temperature to go above the 86C thermostat!! Car was faultless again, even the Uniroyals held up pretty well to a fully dry day. Well enough to get stuck behind a GT3RS for a couple of laps anyway! Time for a good wash and brush up before the next time on track

With a 3" piece of gaffer tape on the cooler I had the oil at a steady 102C. Yes it's a standard spec 2004-7 CBR1000RR.

If red any photos?, not got round to doing a photoshop mock up 😉 Sorry for the delay in replying. Both the hood and doors were red to match. I am not sure if I can find any photos but I will look. Rob Hunter - Club Secretary
Only -4 degrees in Derbyshire this morning! Semi slick tyres, no windscreen, no roof, no heater, no ABS, no traction control and definitely no sense 😂 All the little kids I passed on the way giving "Mad Santa" a wave seemed to enjoy it though 🎅
