She’s had a well deserved deep clean and polish. Now I don’t want to go out and get her dirty! ☀️ ☀️

Thank you. The colour doesn’t show up marvelously on the photos, but the centres are a medium metallic grey, that’s not a bad match to the colour I’ve had the suspension, screen uprights, roll bar and luggage rack powder coated in.

And I’ve been wanting a set of diamond cut style wheels on a car since seeing them on Porsches and Competition Fords since the seventies!

Ooh they're lovely dave. What make are they?

Interested to hear your thoughts on the uniroyals.

They’re “just” the JBW copies, so a great price, and 10% off in the Black Friday sale. But they’re not that bad for weight, (expected them to be awful). They’ve also balanced up, with the Uniroyals, way better, with far less weights, than the TD’s I’ve had with either Toyos or Nankings on. I always take that as a decent quality sign, though it can be the tyre, rather than the wheel.

Looking forward to seeing how the Uniroyals behave. The side walls are definitely softer than either the Toyo R888, R1R or Nanking’s that I’ve had previously. I could tell that from both just handling the tyres loose, and the easier time the fitter had putting them on.

Just need a fresh set of 43mm Westfield badges for them, now!

Look good on the car👍

Thanks. One of the reasons I went for the wide rear arches, when I did the tub change, was specifically so I could fit a more retro style deep dish rear, in a staggered front rear set up.

@Si.Dalziel cheers for the heads up on the flooring that's a mega cheap price. Got a whole garage worth for under 70 quid and it saves me having to paint the floor.

Nipped out at lunchtime to get the Uniroyal RainSport 5’s fitted.

Just need to clean them, and treat them with some Gtechniq Wheel Armour and they can go on the car.

I really like those wheels, looking forward to seeing the car wearing them 📸

Those wheels are stunning Dave, know where you’re coming from with the 70’s era look.

Look forward to seeing them on the car and your feedback on the Rainsports. Are they 8” all round or 7” on the front, and 205 tyres all round?
Sorry about the questions, rather tempting though!!!!
