my favourite pass!

..well, there are quite a few around. I saw you live in the area and as I am regularly staying in Arabba as a base also with my bike, it would be great to meet. My next visit will be in June timeframe, will drop a personal note by than. My favourite pass still is Mauria with a nice meal afterwards at the Cridola restaurant…

Thanks for the links. As I have no mains power in my garage, do you know if the fans can be run off a 12v battery. I was thinking I could get a leisure battery for a caravan to supply etc. thanks

Maybe it can (battery supply) but dont know for how long. Maybe easier use loooong  extension core?

As for the voltage i have ended with sth like 8-9v supply for fan. Those fans in carcoon or car bubble seems to be normal computer PC fans.

For in garage (no rain no snow no sun no frost ) use outdoor carcoon or any outdoor car bubble  seems overprotetive. In garage maybe just normal cover would be enough. Maybe  with small fan Inside doing constant small but constant air flow ?

@Davemk1   by the way, do you remember the front and rear ride height of your Westfield? And what tyre diameter are you running?

Hello -

I don't recall what the ride height numbers are off the top of my head.

The tires I compete with are 20.7" in outside diameter. The street tires I use are larger at 21.7" OD giving the needed ground clearance to use on the road.

I have a carcoon and its not heat that dries your car but dehumidifier through carbon filters its also 100% waterproof with fully attached base double skinned to prevent ice forming inside has a useful opimate type charging system to keep your battery in top condition and should your external power fail it switches over to the car battery and stays inflated, after 3-4 months in there even discs stay shinny  like the day it went in I think it would be hard to create the same environment with a poly tunnel i think it would suffer huge condensation issues

I might have to double up the skin then.. Much cheaper to make one. Simple 2x2 timber then staple each sheet from each side of the timber. That'd keep enough of a gap between the layers if pulled taught. Poly tunnel sheet is cheap and tough.

Maybe a cheap dehumidifier could be help instead then.. 👍

A dry day at last and a touch of sun, so my first proper run out this year...in fact my first run out 'full stop' not having had the opportunity since I bought it late last year...whoop whoop 😁

Even though it was just for a fresh tank of 'five star'😅

I think lively might be a a good description, particularly since my daily driver is a diseasel Ford Kuga and my last 'weekend toy'was a Land Rover 😅

Other than the brief test drive when you don't really get a proper impression, 60mph really does feel like something closer to 80mph, the sound is phenomenal and the ride is surprisingly forgiving.. I was expecting something more like an old school mini, I think its been set up more for comfort...which suits me fine, I was always aiming for more road rather than track use.

Out to play at our monthly meet tonight. Eight of us there which is a great turnout.

I recently discovered a Caterham owner living very near me, and he came down with me in his car. Had a great run back over the Blackdown hills, very dark, but dry, no fog and no traffic so was good fun.
