Smudge62 Posted May 27, 2018 Posted May 27, 2018 Hi, can someone confirm what list the allowed tyres are from for Road Going Specialist Production Cars and what is the preferred option, thanks. Quote
Terry Everall Posted May 27, 2018 Posted May 27, 2018 For true Road Going you can use any in list 1A or 1B from the MSA Blue book Quote

Tom Frankland (T3OMF) Posted May 30, 2018 Posted May 30, 2018 Am I right in thinking that the "AVON ZZR (15156 & 15157)" in the 1B list is only for Caterham's Quote

However they are medium compound and way too hard to be any good on sprinting. Quote
John Loudon - Sponsorship Liaison Posted May 30, 2018 Posted May 30, 2018 Nangkang AR1 seem to work well Quote

B.RAD Posted May 30, 2018 Posted May 30, 2018 Was chatting to the main tyre guy at Rockingham on Friday, he runs the AR1 on his race cars, they like to run at a high hot pressure apparently - 32 degrees he recommended, around 26-28psi cold. Thought that was useful info to share. Quote

That's good info @BCF I brought AR1's for this season and couldn't quite get them switched on at blyton a couple of weeks ago and went the other way trying to reduce pressure. I will catch up with you at Silverstone for a conversation about them. 1 hour ago, John said: They like camber so I am told May see if I can add a little more before the weekend then. Quote
