Future S2000 Build

Recommended Posts

Hi all.

This is a general hello to you all. I'm looking to order my Mega S2000 kit towards the back end of summer. This is going to be my first dip of the toe into the kit car world, but one I have been wanting to do for a long time.

I will be going through all of the builds you guys have posted to the forums, and try to pick up as many tips as I can. Any advice on anything is greatly appreciated and hopefully I will get out to a few Northwest meets and meet some of you with your amazing machines.

regards

Si

Hi there and welcome from sunny Scotland

there is a lot of great information on here, first and foremost decide on what you want to use the car for as this will influence some of your choices upon ordering

it can be frustrating at times but it’s a great journey, good luck

Welcome Si, don’t forget, you don’t need a car to come to the meets; you’ll be most welcome regardless, in fact it’s a really great way to see different spec Westfields and have a chat with the owners about why they went for that spec and what they might do differently. It really helps when deciding on your own!

I'd echo the comments above, let us know what you're thinking the use of the car will be, and I'm sure you will get some advice on things like options to go for

Dave,

your build is serving as my bible for now lol. I was actually put onto you by an ex owner who knows you. I cant wait to see your S2000 in the flesh as it were.

Welcome @Si.Dalziel, I followed Dave's excellent build thread whilst building mine. He builds to a top standard too! We'll look forward to seeing you at one of our local meets. We had 3 x S2000 at the last meet, though this pic was taken before the 3rd one arrived (we suspect @lloydox  was busy driving through fields prior to arriving, given the state of his car). We nearly had 4 on the night too. @westyjord87  let the side down and, rocked up in a tin top instead!

Eek, not sure if that’s worrying or not. :d
