Something for the weekend sir?

Parallel thread on 5th Gear has a link to the Ariel Atom - and got me thinking. What if Westfield and it's output of the last twenty years spontaneously combusted.  What would we all drive?

I've listed some of the more obvious options above but what would you choose? ???

Rules of engagement for choosing a different car to those listed above:

1. Has to be a second/weekend car

2. Nothing with a permanent roof

3. Westfield may have disappeared in a hypothetical puff of smoke but the spirit lives on. Anyone choosing an M3 Cabrio will be exposed for the weary banker they are.

So - what'll it be?

Cheers

Mike

How does the VX220 have the same engine as some Caterhams ?

It was S8ight I was counselling. Chopping the roof off a Quattro indeed...

The VX220 is indeed nothing like an M3 and a serious piece of tackle. Cheap secondhand as well... Vauxhalls brand values really don't do it any favours.

Some Caterhams did have Vauxhall engines ???

Despite having a Se7en, I still hanker after a Spyder converted Elan +2. Check this out Spyder.

At less than 15K I could justify it as a daily driver too... when all I really want is a Winter fun car. I'm too soft to use V7 in the Winter.

why does it have to be a second car?  Wouldn't you rather have some boring estate simply for going to the tip and supermarket on a saturday afternoon and drive the "second" car as much as possible?

Well if i can't have a 7....

TVR griffith 500 :D

Or the new dax cobra demonstrator - 502cu inch chevy v8 mmmmmmm  :blues:

Or (puts thinking cap on :D ) busa turbo / vtec / v8 rwd conversion mini.

i think i left me coat in the taxi....
