Thought it would be a good idea to get this thread going... what would be your dream westie?

Etc... 

 

I'll have to wait to see all yours as I don't know enough about them yet!

For me, its mine . Having built it and decided on what I wanted , gave me more opportunity to make decisions than the ones I bought used and tinkered with.

Off the cuff first draft for superlight Sprint/Road Westie....

Suspension - Siltech Racing www.siltechracing.com/ all-round micro adjustable rear, with billet hubs and uprights, quick rack. HiSpec braking. Red 13" Wheels

Bodywork - SEiW with with as much carbon paneling etc as possible in Chrome Yellow. Interchangable Windscreen/Aeroscreen, doors 1/2 doors and 1/2 hood

Chassis - Red Powdercoat Aerorace/S2000 and MSA Roll over Bar

Dash - Custom AIM on Carbon with Kit Car Electronics Freewheel and Blinkstop http://blinkstop.co.uk/shop/index.php?route=common/home

Just as an aside, unless you need the extra two channels on the FreeWHEEL, it has all the BlinkSTOP functionality built in! You just set channel 1 and 2 to be the indicators.

Are we talking of a road/trackday car, or a competition car?

For the road, I think if I was getting/building another seven style Westfiled, I'd be looking at a V8 engined car.

For sprinting, maybe a supercharged Busa angine in an aerorace chassis/body.

Road bruiser

Ls3 crate engine. Tremec 6 speed. Mega/s250 chassis. Fw body. Quaife atb. Traction and cruise control. Tillets. Sport 250 higher screen and sidescreens.

Track weapon.

Cosworth 2.3 duratec. Quaife sequential box. Tranx diff. Full carbon body. Force split rims. Aeroscreen and full cage. Some fancy dampers. Siltech front and rear ends. Carbon tillets.

Here goes;

SEiW with Siltech wide track, micro adjustable rear wishbones, billet uprights & AP F3 calipers on floating discs all round.

Ohlins 3-way dampers.

Lowered floor, b6 Tillet seats with cushioning and 3" 4 point harnesses.

Sierra type 3.14 ATB differential.

Carbon fibre covered alloy honeycomb full floor.

Carbon fibre pre-preg interior panels.

Carbon fibre dash using 620r style dash switchgear, AIM MXS dash and logger.

Carbon fibre pre-preg exterior panels.

AP DBW pedal box.

4-wheel traction control.

280mm Momo steering wheel connected to a works-bell quick release using an electrical connector kit.

Titan H/D quick steering rack.

Geartronics pneumatic shift system. Playskool paddles.

Image billet 13" alloys 8" & 10"

Gen2 hayabusa, tuned and fully internally strengthened and fitted with a TTS Rotex C38R supercharger (500ish bhp).

 

 

 

all in all, not a great deal different to what I have. the only remaining job I have for my car is to replace the pedal box for a bias adjustable type... and then maybe upgrade the brakes at some point in the future.
